Much of ACYR's thirty years of success in providing effective workforce development services to young adults has been achieved by initiating and supporting innovative partnerships. ACYR works with community partners to improve the lives of young adults in Maricopa County by linking them with secondary and alternative education, leadership and mentoring opportunities, post secondary education, vocational training, and local employers. Through these partnerships and collaborations, we are able to match our resources with the resources of our partners in order to enhance the learning experience for the young adult while also meeting the needs of participating agencies.
ACYR and the Business Community
Our goal is to be the first place you turn to when you have positions to fill and the first place young adult job seekers turn to find a career.
ACYR works to encourage collaborations and partnerships within the business and educational communities. There are a number of ways to become involved and contribute to improving education and workplace skills for our greatest natural resource….. YOUTH.

On the job training gives employers an opportunity to tap into a pool of workers who are good candidates for a job but may need additional training to be qualified. The complexity of the job and the skills of the worker will determine the length of the training period. Our trained Career Advisors offer assistance by referring appropriate individuals to the training opportunity, help design the training plan, and provide on-going support during the training period.
Work Experience/Internships are designed to build work maturity skills and familiarize individuals to a specific occupation when deciding on a career choice. These opportunities are designed to improve individual skills; they can also be used as a way to attract new candidates to a career they never knew existed.
Employing ACYR students can earn you a
tax credit.
